Christian has been the District Attorney for Colorado’s 6th Judicial District in Durango, Colorado since January 2017.  Prior to that, Christian was the Assistant District Attorney for the 6th Judicial District for 8 years and a Deputy Public Defender for 4 years.  Christian’s focus as District Attorney has been to build innovative programs that reduce recidivism, focusing on Diversion and Restorative Justice, while at the same time ensuring accountability for offenders and honoring the victims of crime.  He is currently the President of the Colorado District Attorney’s Council, and an active member of his local Elks Lodge.  He is originally from Evanston, Illinois, and has a wife and two children, aged 13 and 10.
