Lessons from 2020: A Racial Awakening for Prosecutors
The killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery sparked a widespread response to police brutality and a demand to an end of state violence against Black and Brown communities. In response the IIP convened elected prosecutors and community leaders to discuss how prosecutors reacted to recent events. Inspired by these conversations, the IIP produced two Action Guides, How Prosecutors Can Support a Reimagined Police Response and Creating a Culture of Racial Equity.

Racial Justice in America: A Resource for Educating Prosecutors
To help educate prosecutors and the communities they serve about the history and legacy of racial injustice in America, the IIP has compiled a list of readings, films, music, and other works to illuminate some of the many ways in which racism is experienced.
