TRAININGS

Prosecutor Well-Being

The Prosecutor Well-Being Initiative explores how prosecutors can mitigate the considerable vicarious trauma and stress that accompanies their jobs, and partake in wellness practices to improve the way they approach their cases.

Procedural Justice for Prosecutors

Our Procedural Justice for Prosecutors curriculum, created in partnership with the Center for Court Innovation, is designed to help prosecutors begin a conversation about fairness and procedural justice. Recognizing that tailoring the message to the audience is key, the hope is that this framework can be individualized based on each office’s priorities, concerns, and local challenges, maximizing the resonance with prosecutors and the public alike.

Trauma-Informed Prosecution

The Trauma-Informed Prosecution Project aims to develop guidance for prosecutors to incorporate trauma-informed best practices into their work in order to serve crime survivors, witnesses, people accused of crimes, and all community members.

Inside Criminal Justice

Inside Criminal Justice, a joint initiative of The Manhattan D.A. Academy, the Institute for Innovation in Prosecution at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and the Center for Justice at Columbia University, is a semester-long seminar comprised of individuals incarcerated at Queensboro Correctional Facility Edgecombe Correctional Facility and prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
